fanweek

our current challenge will be a fanweek with prompts based on picture sets. each day will have 5 available prompt sets that can be chosen for writers to draw inspiration for their fics from. there will be a total of 5 days in our fanweek.prompt sets will be picture-based, and each set will be a pair of pictures. these will provide inspiration for the fics, but there will be no limit on genre, tropes, or interpretation of the prompt sets.some things to note, specific to this round:
1) writers will be creating their own fic posts from their twitter accounts. we will be rt-ing writers' posts and also compiling all fics in a twitter thread. the only exception will be for writers who would like to remain anonymous, in which case we will work with you to create a fic tweet.2) we will not be providing graphics for this round, but we will provide a little mini guide for making some simple graphics to go along with your fic.3) for this round, we will be letting writers submit a maximum of 5 fics per writer. due to the high number of fics, this round, please only submit one sign-up form.4) submissions will be to our ao3 collection found here. submissions will be revealed and made un-anonymous on the appropriate prompt day. there will be a hashtag to help us find everyone's fics!5) keep in mind that we will be revealing fics as we go along the fanweek. so if you've submitted your day 1 fic a bit later due to an extension, we'll still be re-tweeting and promoting it even if we've gotten to a later day in the week.please refer to the rules & guidelines section for general FAQs.

rules

the general rules and guidelines are as follows:1) we're an OT11 writing community, which means we allow all pairings with former members, excluding Kris. we allow genderbend, but we don’t allow crossover, such as exo x other gb/bb, and exo x OCs.2) because we're trying to promote flash fiction, the minimum word count will be 100 words and the maximum word count will be 1,000 words.3) the writing period will vary per round, usually around 2 weeks. mods will announce the exact times on twitter, so make sure to follow us there.4) it will be hosted on ao3 under a collection, and writers will need to submit the work by themselves, so we suggest writers to have an ao3 acc.5) writers will join as anonymous, so they cannot reveal themselves publicly until fics are revealed. remember not to reply to comments on your fic until the round ends.6) the submitted fic should be a new work! we don't allow submissions to be something that has already been posted before as a stand-alone, or as a part of other works that have already been posted (as prequel/sequel/side story).if you want to continue the story after you posted it to us, for example: making it a series on your own, then feel free!7) we don’t allow plagiarism! If you copied other people’s work, the mod team will delete your work from the collection and you will be banned from all future challenges. we also will not be allowing any AI generated fics.8) we don’t allow rape (non-con), dubcon, incest, pedophillia, and underage sex, so if we find a work with these themes in it, the mod team will contact you first and give you two choices, (1) change it, or (2) delete your work from the collection.

Now, how to join us?
We will be providing a Google form for sign-up, so please fill out the form if you're interested in joining.What if I’m already done with fic before the deadline?
Then you can post the fic right away under the current theme’s collection on AO3.Please refer to this guideline on how to submit your fic to a collection.What if I want to submit multiple fics?
The maximum number of submissions allowed will change each round. Please refer to the current round's guidelines for mroe information. For multiple fic submissions, writers need to submit their first fic before starting on a second fic. Writers will also need to fill out the sign-up form again for multiple submissions. This is to help us keep track of submissions.How long is the posting period?
It depends on how many writers we'll get for the round. For our usual rounds, it generally will last around 3-10 days, with 1-day break every 3 days.

tinysparks is a flash fiction fest with 1k fic challenges for exo that started in april 2020.we believe that sometimes you don’t need a lot of words to relay your story. we hope our writers can find a tiny spark that will eventually turn into a mighty flame. we want our challenges to ignite writers' creativity and freshen up their mindset towards their writing.as of may 2022, we have completed 25 main rounds of writing with everyone. in april 2023, we came back for a very special 'april fools' round. sadly, we will not be continuing to host regular rounds, but we are sticking around to bring out some special rounds when possible. these will likely happen twice per year.click here for info about our upcoming round.brought to you by mod team KULAN.
